This workshop is designed to equip participants with the key knowledge and skills required to perform effective mentorship. Building on the knowledge gained from the e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) ‘Medical Mentoring’ programme, this workshop will support discussion around your experience of mentoring and provide the opportunity to apply mentorship frameworks as a mentor in a supportive environment.

This free e-learning
module takes 1 hour to complete.
Learning Outcomes:
- Define mentorship and differentiate between other support processes
- Identify existing skills and behaviours which align to the role of a mentor
- Review mentoring and coaching models to use as a framework for supportive conversations
- Consider boundaries and support available
- Improve confidence in applying mentoring frameworks through small group working
- Facilitate a process of constructive feedback
Completion of the e-LfH ‘Medical Mentoring’ programme and the Mentoring Skills Workshop will enable the participant to enrol in the North East Mentorship Scheme (NEMS).
