A one day workshop to explore how to support neurodivergent trainees.  In this session we will explore what neurodiversity is, and how it impacts resident doctors.  We will discuss both the strengths and challenges associated with neurodivergence, and what useful and effective strategies supervisors can use to support their neurodivergent trainees.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Be able to describe the common ND types
  • Be aware of the prevalence of ND
  • Recognise the potential strengths and challenges that come with ND for DiT
  • Know what support strategies are possible and effective in the workplace
  • Know what other offers exist to support this group of resident doctors.
