This workshop is not suitable for doctors in training or those new to the supervision role.

This workshop will develop your understanding of coaching, provide you with skills and tools to enable you to apply a coaching style to a variety of workplace situations.  This event will provide insights and practical tips to help you enhance your supervisory conversations.  

It builds on concepts briefly explored in Core Skills for New Supervisors and we recommend that you attend this workshop first if you are new to supervision.

This event compliments the Supportive Conversations workshop.

Learning Outcomes:

  • To establish a mutual understanding of what coaching is and appreciate when we might use a coaching style in our conversations as trainers
  • To explore a variety of coaching tools to help us with our coaching conversations
  • Have the opportunity to practically apply the various coaching tools and skills to enable us to hold effective coaching conversations
